Production methods
The production methods of Chodan Sazan companies includes three sub-processes: 1-Casting 2-Heat treatment 3-Machining.
Casting sub-process
Supply of raw materials
All raw materials are purchased from trusted suppliers based on strict criteria. Waste rolls purchased from customers are carefully tested and analyzed before use. The charging of the melting furnaces is optimized using special software, and the most suitable and closest raw materials are selected for each grade.
Melting
The melting process is carried out in medium frequency induction melting furnaces. The melting equipment includes:
- Two medium frequency induction furnaces of 20 tons
- Two medium frequency induction furnaces of 8 tons
- A medium frequency induction furnace of 6 tons
- Two medium frequency induction furnaces of 3 tons
- A medium frequency induction furnace of 1 ton
- Two 500 kg medium frequency induction furnaces
The variety of furnaces provides flexibility in the production of different types of rolls with varying sizes and weights.
Melting Process Control
Controlling the melting process involves checking and adjusting the chemical composition of all molten metal using spectrometry and UV devices for sulfur and carbon analysis, both before discharging the melt and during the preparation of the smelting process.
Casting systems
One-layer and two-layer rolls are produced by Chodan Sazan manufacturing company. Casting is done by both static and centrifugal methods.
